My husband and I have been speaking with a friend who sees exactly what we see in terms of emergent/seeker friendly/contemplatives/Warrenite/Hybels and others as a problem. He also asks some good questions. “When and why might it be necessary to completely disassociate with particular groups? Or when could one still associate to some degree, but with discernment?”

The story is told of a man who became fascinated after seeing some bacteria under a microscope. He bought a microscope and took it home. One day he thought he would look at his food before eating it and became horrified: He saw microscopic bacteria on his food.
There was only one thing to do: Destroy the microscope!
This is the common reaction of those who do not want to hear or believe the truth: Discredit and even destroy if necessary those who proclaim it. it is far easier to destroy the truth than it is to obey it.
