There has been and continues to be a link between the Seeker Sensitive Movement, the Purpose Driven Movement, and the Emergent Church Movement. This gentlemen makes that link clear as does others.
These are faith based systems, with all the terminology and appearance of that which is genuine; however, all is not as it seems. (I spent two years in the SS movement, so I am not writing from theory).
No doubt some will think me harsh; so be it. My faith is based upon the Word of God and the historical definition of the Word held sacred by the church for over 1,600 years.
While the methods we use to communicate the Word may (and should) change, the message never changes.
These movements, in an attempt to accommodate the world, have clearly compromised the Word and are teaching another gospel which we have not received. (Galatians 1:8-9).
Thanks for this link.
What do you think, Mike? I see you are more into the disciplines. What do you think of the assessment?
